Basketball Recap: Bradwell Institute Piles Up the Points Against Glynn Academy

Bradwell Institute hadn't done well against Glynn Academy recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bradwell Institute Tigers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Glynn Academy Terrors 75-38. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 24 points or more this season.

Bradwell Institute's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Christopher Perry, who went 8 of 11 en route to 18 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylin Sweat, who went 6 for 7 on his way to 13 points and five boards.

Bradwell Institute smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glynn Academy only pulled down seven offensive rebounds.

Glynn Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Trevion Bryant, who posted 11 points and three steals, and Apollo Moore, who had six points and five rebounds. Those points were Moore's first of the season.

The win (which was Bradwell Institute's fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-3. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 26.1% in those games and 15% outside of them. As for Glynn Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Brunswick the next time they take the court. Glynn Academy will head out to face Brunswick at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, while Bradwell Institute will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
