Davis is 7-2 against Johansen since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Davis Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Johansen Vikings at 7:15 p.m. Johansen took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Davis, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, everything went Davis' way against Beyer as Davis made off with a 28-7 victory.
Meanwhile, Johansen came up short against Lathrop on Friday and fell 31-22. Johansen has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Tek Garcia put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 185 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 35 receiving yards. Garcia's longest rush was for an incredible 95 yards.
Davis' win on Friday bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Johansen, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
Davis didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Johansen in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, but they still walked away with a 23-18 win. Does Davis have another victory up their sleeve, or will Johansen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
