The Chopticon Braves scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Northern with a sharp 86-66 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Iverson Hill was a one-man wrecking crew for Chopticon as he scored 14 points along with six assists and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hill has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jacob Waddell, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Chopticon pushed their record up to 11-7 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Northern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.
Chopticon will head out on the road to take on Calvert at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Chopticon knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully Calvert likes a good challenge. As for Northern, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Leonardtown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northern has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
