Cohen Tomasits was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. Tomasits was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 66 yards.
Tucumcari's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for New Mexico Military Institute, their win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2.
Tucumcari was taken down by New Mexico Military Institute 54-16 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Tucumcari, Juan Badillo (who rushed for 189 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 112 yards and two touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time.
