The Chaminade Eagles were the 67-33 winner over the Alemany Warriors when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Chaminade took a 85-76 hit to the loss column at the hands of Alemany on Wednesday. Chaminade has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Despite the loss, Chaminade still got an impressive performance from Bryce Goldman, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Koby Nichols, who scored nine points along with three blocks and two steals.
Alemany got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jared Mims out in front who scored 28 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mims has scored all season. Bourgeois Tshilobo was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Chaminade's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 16-6. As for Alemany, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chaminade will take on St. Francis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Francis is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Alemany, they will head out on the road to face off against Notre Dame (SO) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Notre Dame (SO) will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
