McMichael is a perfect 9-0 against Walkertown since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Phoenix will be playing at home against the Wolfpack at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (McMichael 3.8, Walkertown 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
McMichael is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand North Forsyth a 20-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Phoenix might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

Kora Ingle was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off three home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, McMichael got a massive performance out of Samantha Hopson, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave Hopson a new career-high. Olivia Wilson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
McMichael was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .630. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Walkertown hadn't done well against Morehead recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Wolfpack came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Wolfpack as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
The result came thanks to Macy Miller's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, Walkertown saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Isley, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
McMichael pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Walkertown, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. McMichael hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .391. However, it's not like Walkertown struggles in that department as they've averaged .357. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
McMichael took their victory against Walkertown in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 11-5 score. Do the Phoenix have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolfpack turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
