The Locke Saints lost a heartbreaker to the Hawkins Hawks when they met back in January of 2023, and they left with a heavy heart again on Wednesday. The match between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Locke falling 82-66. They have not had much luck with Hawkins recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
De'Meiko Crawford continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hawkins, scoring 29 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Crawford has scored at least 25% of Hawkins' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Boston, who scored 14 points.
Locke's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Hawkins, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10.
Locke will look to defend their home court on Friday against Harbor Teacher at 4:30 p.m. Hawkins is on the road again on Friday and play against View Park at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th.
