Stansbury can attribute much of their success to Brighton Reutzel, who threw for 323 yards and three TDs while picking up 13.5 yards per attempt. Those 323 passing yards gave Reutzel a new career-high. A healthy portion of Reutzel's aerial production (110 yards to be exact) went to Boston Rowley, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Stansbury's defense stepped up as well, laying out Xavier Cocci. four times. In that department, Noah Syphus was the leader with two sacks. Another thorn in Skyline's side was Broncs Baker, who forced one fumble and made 12 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Despite the loss, Skyline still got an impressive performance from Cocci, who threw for 291 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt, and also punched in one score on the ground.
Looking ahead, Stansbury will host Bonneville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Skyline, they will venture away from home to square off against West Field at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 888 yards in their previous games.
