The Fallston Cougars and the Mercy Magic will round out the year against one another at 12:00 p.m. on Friday at. Fallston is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Last Wednesday, Fallston got the win against North Harford by a conclusive 39-18. That looming 39-18 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Fallston yet this season.
Ayla Galloway was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 13 points, 11 rebounds, and ten steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Fallston's points. Bolesta Brooke was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Mercy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-39 loss to Archbishop Spalding last Monday.
Fallston's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Mercy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Fallston came up short against Mercy when the teams last played back in December of 2019, falling 55-43. Can Fallston avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
