The Michigan Lutheran Seminary Cardinals pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Carrollton by a score of 57-55. Michigan Lutheran Seminary lost against Carrollton in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 59-52 score last time.
Despite the loss, Michigan Lutheran Seminary still got an impressive performance from Noah Reif, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. Those 28 points set a new season-high mark for Reif. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Iles, who scored six points.
Michigan Lutheran Seminary's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Carrollton, their win bumped their record up to 1-5.
Michigan Lutheran Seminary will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ithaca at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for Carrollton, they will head out on the road to face off against Standish-Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
