The result came thanks to Parker Hess's shutout, as he gave up just a hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ethan Heitkamp, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jackson Center). They walked away with a 6-1 win over Fairlawn on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Blake Noble spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Jackson Center's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ian Stengel, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-7. As for Marion Local, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.
