Towanda and Sullivan County are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Towanda Black Knights will be playing at home against the Sullivan County Griffins at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Towanda suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. Their rough 70-45 loss to Troy might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Towanda can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 579th, while Troy is ranked 38th).
Meanwhile, Sullivan County came up short against Neumann Regional Academy on Friday and fell 59-51. Sullivan County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Towanda has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Sullivan County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
Towanda skirted past Sullivan County 49-46 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Does Towanda have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sullivan County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
