Northview is on a four-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Los Altos is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Northview Vikings will take on the Los Altos Conquerors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Northview is not getting complacent, as they comes into the match much higher ranked than Los Altos in California (Northview is ranked 125th, while Los Altos is ranked 379th).
Last Friday, Northview strolled past San Dimas with points to spare, taking the game 26-12.
Northview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Angel Barraza, who rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Dwayne Thompson was another key contributor, picking up 111 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Los Altos fought the good fight in their overtime match against Diamond Ranch on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 14-7 to the Panthers. Having soared to a lofty 48 points in the game before, Los Altos couldn't push the score so high this time.
Northview's victory lifted them to 7-1 while Los Altos' defeat dropped them down to 5-3.
Everything came up roses for Northview against Los Altos when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 35-0 win. Does Northview have another victory up their sleeve, or will Los Altos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
