The Ogdensburg Free Academy Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a serious blow against Potsdam, falling 76-46. Ogdensburg Free Academy has not had much luck with Potsdam recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Potsdam found their leader in underclassman Ian VanWagner, who scored 27 points along with four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which VanWagner has scored at least 25% of Potsdam's points. Brodie Delaney was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds.
Ogdensburg Free Academy bumped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Potsdam, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Ogdensburg Free Academy will head out on the road to face off against Franklin Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklin Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ogdensburg Free Academy in New York (Franklin Academy is ranked 140th, while Ogdensburg Free Academy is ranked 359th). Potsdam will be home for the holidays to greet Salmon River at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Salmon River comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
