Wolfson let Bishop Kenny stack four runs on them in the fourth inning two weeks ago but luckily Wolfson prevailed anyway. The Wolfpack had just enough and edged out the Crusaders 6-5.
Madison Saling spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on six hits.
On the hitting side, Kadence Cooper was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Hannah E. Roberts was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Wolfson, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Riverside has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .527. However, it's not like Wolfson struggles in that department as they've averaged .538. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
