The Los Gatos Wildcats will be playing at home against the Los Altos Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Los Gatos focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday.
Los Gatos scored the most points they've had all season to find success. They came out on top against Wilcox by a score of 76-67. Given Los Gatos' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Chargers are ranked 468th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Scotty Brennan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan G. koch, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 21-21 at halftime, Los Altos was not quite the Spartans' equal in the second half on Tuesday. Los Altos fell to the Spartans 45-39. Los Altos has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Los Gatos has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Los Altos, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
Los Gatos strolled past the Eagles when the teams last played back in January by a score of 61-46. Does Los Gatos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
