Notre Dame put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the New Iberia Yellowjackets as Notre Dame made off with a 15-1 win. 15 seems to be a good number for the Pioneers as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Madaline Johnson tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Notre Dame got a massive performance out of Cate Romero, who fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits Romero has posted over her last nine matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Malayna Daigle, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Notre Dame was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .520. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Iberia only posted a batting average of .167.

Notre Dame's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 13.3 runs this season. As for New Iberia, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Looking ahead, Notre Dame will square off against Welsh at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Notre Dame's pitchers better be ready for this one: Welsh has averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for New Iberia, they will head out on the road to square off against Kaplan at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Kaplan will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something New Iberia surely won't give up without a fight.
