Two dominant backs in Zamar Malveaux and Lorenzo Sims are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Hesperia Scorpions are taking a road trip to square off against the Ramona Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Hesperia is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They strolled past Norte Vista with points to spare, taking the game 21-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Scorpions.

Hesperia relied on the efforts of Da'Lon Williams, who rushed for 134 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and Darius Williams, who rushed for 41 yards and one TD. That's the most rushing yards Da'Lon has posted since back in November of 2024.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hesperia was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 435 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Cerritos kept up with Ramona until halftime on Friday, but afterwards: not so much. The Rams were the clear victors by a 48-22 margin over the Dons. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.
Hesperia better keep an eye on Michael White. He was instrumental in Ramona's win, rushing for 49 yards and one score. White also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, defending two passes and snagged two interceptions.
Ramona's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Hesperia, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Hesperia has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 230.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Ramona struggles in that department as they've been averaging 182.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
