Basketball Recap: Bishop Seabury Academy Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Wellsville came into Saturday's game looking for another win against Bishop Seabury Academy, but Chase Honarvar wouldn't allow it. The Bishop Seabury Academy Seahawks secured a 69-64 W over the Wellsville Eagles on Saturday thanks in part to Honarvar, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 21 boards. He has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more rebounds the last 37 times he's played.

Zephyr O'Hara was another key player, putting up six points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Bishop Seabury Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.9 points per game. As for Wellsville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5-1.

Bishop Seabury Academy and Wellsville should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. Bishop Seabury Academy (ranked 92nd) will meet Maranatha Christian Academy (ranked 274th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Wellsville will take on Prairie View at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th up 203 places (70 vs. 273).
