On Wednesday, things could have been worse for El Monte, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 69-52 loss to the Eagles. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for El Monte in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.
Meanwhile, South El Monte earned a 41-34 win over the Knights on Wednesday.
El Monte has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 17 of their last 18 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-26 record this season. As for South El Monte, their win bumped their record up to 11-15.
