Lakeland Preparatory had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Everything went their way against the Fayette Academy Vikings as they made off with a 49-27 win. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Fayette Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Addison McNabb and Abbi Tucker. McNabb posted four points along with six boards and five steals, while Tucker put up 11 points. That was a full 40.7% of Fayette Academy's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Lakeland Preparatory has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.5 points per game. As for Fayette Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-13 with the loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
