Softball Recap: East Palestine Wins Going Away Against Southern

East Palestine hadn't beaten Southern on the road since May 11, 2018 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Bulldogs blew past the Indians 12-6. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Taylor Foster, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddison Foster, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

East Palestine always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.

East Palestine now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Southern, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Coming up, East Palestine will take on Lake Center Christian in a tournament on Wednesday. As for Southern, they will be taking part in a tournament against United at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
