If Bennett County were expecting to get some payback for the 0-63 loss against Gordon-Rushville the last time they met, then they were left disappointed. Bennett County ended up on the wrong side of a painful 6-28 walloping at Gordon-Rushville's hands. The defeat was a vexing one since Bennett County were expected to win based on their state ranking.
The defeat dropped Bennett County's record to 1-4. The victory bumped Gordon-Rushville's record up to 1-3.
Next week Bennett County take on Lead-Deadwood at 6:00 PM. Bennett County come in off of three low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse. Gordon-Rushville will be staying on the road, facing off against Southern Valley.
