Owosso is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Clio is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Trojans will host the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While Owosso didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against Brandon on Thursday as they made off with a 15-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Blackhawks: they've now won eight in a row.

Bella Harris was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off nine hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Danica Dwyer was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three stolen bases, and five RBI. Another player making a difference was Ady Freeman, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Clio came out on top against Garber on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fifth inning. The Mustangs took their game against the Dukes 8-3.
Like Owosso, Clio also got a great game from a two-way player: Addie Taylor. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Taylor was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with four RBI and one run. That run marked the first that she has scored this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Payton Malin, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Veronica Tate was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Clio always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Clio is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Owosso, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
