The Manokotak Lynx scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against Togiak as Manokotak made off with a 74-51 victory. With that victory, Manokotak brought their scoring average up to 51.4 points per game.
Manokotak's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Vicki Paul, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Karisha Bartman, who scored 14 points.
The win was the third in a row for Manokotak, bringing their record for this year to 7-2. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 22 points. As for Togiak, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Manokotak will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Chief Ivan Blunka will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alaska Rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Lynx are ranked 20th). As for Togiak, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Lynx at 11:00 a.m. on February 3rd. Manokotak has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
