The Waggener Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Seneca Red Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
Waggener had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 45-38 to Brown.
Even though Seneca has not done well against Eastern recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Seneca came out on top against Eastern by a score of 60-50.
Seneca's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justice Parks, who scored 19 points along with 9 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Parks has scored at least 25% of Seneca's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Janelle Julue, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds.
Waggener's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Seneca, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Waggener might still be hurting after the 58-32 loss they got from Seneca in their previous meeting back in February. Can Waggener avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
