The Meyersdale Red Raiders will be home for the holidays to greet the Bishop Carroll Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meyersdale comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 100-30, which was the final score in Meyersdale's tilt against Berlin Brothersvalley on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Meyersdale has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Bishop Carroll unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a serious blow against Greater Johnstown, falling 92-63. While losing is never fun, Bishop Carroll can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while Greater Johnstown is ranked 40th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jace Casses, who scored 19 points along with five assists. The game was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Parker Alexander was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meyersdale bumped their record down to 0-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Bishop Carroll, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
