Houston lost against Calhoun City back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Houston Hilltoppers were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 51-50 to the Calhoun City Wildcats. The Hilltoppers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Several Hilltoppers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brody Echoles, who posted six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Antavious Hill, who scored eight points.

Houston's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Calhoun City, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Houston didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-50 win against Bruce on the 14th. As for Calhoun City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 61-57 victory against Riverside on the 14th.
