It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 65-6, which was the final score in Edinburgh's tilt against Park Tudor two weeks ago. While losing is never fun, Edinburgh can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 307th, while Park Tudor is ranked 133rd).
Meanwhile, North Decatur had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 51.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They claimed a resounding 41-3 win over South Decatur at home. The result was nothing new for North Decatur, who have now won six games by 27 points or more so far this season.
Tyler Dean went supernova for North Decatur, rushing for 201 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Kaleb Phelps was another major influence, as he rushed for 21 yards and ran in a TD.
Park Tudor's victory bumped their season record to 10-0 while Edinburgh's loss dropped theirs to 1-8.
Edinburgh took a serious blow against North Decatur when the teams last played on October 6th, falling 69-0. Can Edinburgh avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
