The Churchill Chargers fell victim to the Reagan Rattlers''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Rattlers, falling 38-0. Churchill just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Hunter Pavlicek threw for 62 yards on six of 15 attempts. Diego Sostre was his top target, picking up 53 receiving yards and no touchdowns.
Brad Jackson was his usual excellent self, throwing for 169 yards and four touchdowns while completing 78.3% of his passes. Jeter Battles was another key contributor, picking up 39 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Churchill's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 4-4. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Reagan, Brandeis, and Johnson. As for Reagan, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Churchill will head out on the road to face off against Marshall at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Reagan, they will be playing at home against SA Roosevelt at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. SA Roosevelt will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 427th, while Reagan is ranked 41st).
