Baseball Recap: Milford's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Milford entered their tilt with Parowan on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Rams 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 11 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Toby LaOrange made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. LaOrange was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Milford's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-7 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Kilo Tsosie was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Griffin Walker, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Milford's record is now 14-7. As for Parowan, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10.
