East Forsyth won the last time they faced R.J. Reynolds and things went their way on Monday too. Everything went the East Forsyth Eagles' way against the R.J. Reynolds Demons as the East Forsyth Eagles made off with a 59-35 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

East Forsyth's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rajanae Bethea led the charge by going 7-for-13 en route to 16 points along with six assists and five steals. Bethea's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Alyssa Jessup was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Bethea wasn't the only one working in the assist department: East Forsyth was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They posted eight more assists than R.J. Reynolds' also-impressive total of ten.

Despite the loss, R.J. Reynolds had strong showings from Cora Ankerson, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, and Hattie Boone, who posted five points along with 12 boards and five assists. The dominant performance gave Boone a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Evie Beale, who scored seven points.

East Forsyth pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.1 points over those games. As for R.J. Reynolds, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.

East Forsyth didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-38 win against Reagan on the 18th. R.J. Reynolds does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
