The Gaston Bulldogs will be home for the holidays to greet the Fyffe Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Tuesday, Gaston took a serious blow against Sand Rock, falling 62-18. While losing is never fun, Gaston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 381st, while Sand Rock is ranked 69th).
Meanwhile, Fyffe scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Collinsville 69-38 at home. Fyffe might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five contests by 20 points or more this season.
Gaston has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Fyffe, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4.
Things could have been worse for Gaston, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 49-35 loss to Fyffe when the teams last played back in February of 2015. Will Gaston have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other basketball content.
