Bryce Hanover Turns in Season-Best Effort
Geneva came up short on Thursday despite Bryce Hanover delivering his best game to date. Hanover threw for 334 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Geneva's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-4. Hanover will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Hill Country Christian School of Austin on Friday.

Hill Country Christian School of Austin was led to victory by Jacob Rasberry, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Rasberry threw for 201 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making a tackle.

Sadly, Brady Chandler posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Geneva over New Braunfels Christian Academy on Thursday. Chandler picked up 220 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He is becoming a predictor of Geneva's success: when he posts at least 100 receiving yards the team is 2-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't).

He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
