After flying high against Cristo Rey Research Triangle  last Friday, Neuse Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Neuse Christian Academy Lions took  a  59-42 bruising from the Thales Academy Rolesville Knights on Tuesday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
 Neuse Christian Academy lost  despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Lyla Lindstrom, who  posted 18 points and eight  rebounds.  Morgan Little was another key player,  dropping  a double-double on 13  points and ten  boards.
 Thales Academy Rolesville was led to victory by  Julia Van Valkenburg and  Mary Niebauer.  Van Valkenburg  went 8 for 13  on her way to 22 points in addition to five  rebounds and four  steals, while  Niebauer  scored 20  points and eight  boards. The dominant performance gave  Van Valkenburg a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was  Kendall Hudson, who  earned nine  points and five  rebounds.
Neuse Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Thales Academy Rolesville, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record  this season.
 Neuse Christian Academy has  already played their next  contest (against Friendship Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Thales Academy Rolesville has also has no score uploaded for their next  game, this one against St. Thomas More Academy.
