The Beaver Beavers will take on the Cedar Reds at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Beaver was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Parowan on Friday. The Beavers put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 26-16 victory. The win continues a trend for the Beavers in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won four in a row.

The team relied heavily on Jerzee Beaumont, who fired off two home runs, six runs, and five RBI while going 5-for-5. Those six runs gave her a new career-high. Lily Wright was another key player, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with five stolen bases, five runs, and two RBI.
Beaver always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parowan only posted an OBP of .419.
Cedar never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Snow Canyon on Tuesday. They blew past the Warriors 14-8. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Reds' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Karli Adams made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Adams was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Kinzie Hawkins was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Kate Lopez, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Cedar's victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Beaver, their win bumped their record up to 16-6.
Beaver's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's matchup. The Beavers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Cedar, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Beaver continue to outrun the ball?
Beaver suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Cedar in their previous matchup back in April of 2022. Will the Beavers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
