South Caldwell hadn't done well against Ashe County recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The South Caldwell Spartans blew past the Ashe County Huskies 62-41. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

South Caldwell found their leader in freshman Ava Anderson, who posted 23 points. Another player making a difference was Kristin Barber, who had 13 points.

The win made it two in a row for South Caldwell and bumps their season record up to 11-7. As for Ashe County, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.
