The St. David's Warriors pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of New Life Camp by a score of 60-57. St. David's has struggled against New Life Camp recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, St. David's still got an impressive performance from Preston Copeland, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Copeland hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Kazim Oladipo, who scored 17 points.
St. David's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for New Life Camp, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
St. David's will be playing in front of their home fans against GRACE Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully GRACE Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday. As for New Life Camp, they will head out on the road to face off against Chatham HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Chatham HomeSchool will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 134th, while New Life Camp is ranked 46th).
