The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for University Charter in their matchups with Hale County: they've now lost five in a row.
When it comes to explaining why University Charter lost, one person who can't be blamed is Craig Ellington. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zy'Darrius Harris, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds.
University Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hale County, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University Charter will face off against Keith at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hale County, they will head out on the road to face off against Central at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Hale County is ranked 23rd).
