Basketball Recap: Jasper Skates Past Camden County with Ease

Jasper picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They blew past the Camden County Wildcats 71-38. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 23 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Camden County still got an impressive performance from Caleb Reed, who posted 11 points and five steals. Reed has become a key player for Camden County: the team is 5-2 when he posts at least five steals, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Travis Herrin, who put up six points and nine rebounds.

Jasper has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.7 points per game. As for Camden County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Jasper wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 73-52 loss against Montgomery Bell Academy on the 27th. As for Camden County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-58 defeat against Dougherty on the 26th.
