They snuck past Escambia with a 52-48 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Choctawhatchee also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Choctawhatchee's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Robert Spells, who scored 13 points along with five assists and four steals. Another player making a difference was Chris Pitts, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Choctawhatchee is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Escambia, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Choctawhatchee will take on Crestview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Crestview has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Escambia, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Mosley at 7:00 p.m.
