Basketball Game Preview: Windsor Forest Knights vs. Long County Blue Tide

The Windsor Forest Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the Long County Blue Tide at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Windsor Forest's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.

Windsor Forest is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 102-48 victory over Southeast Bulloch. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season.

Windsor Forest had a senior duo take command as Sean Cabellero made all 12 shots he took to post 28 points and Ahkee Mack made all 10 shots he took for 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cabellero has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Page, who made all 5 shots he took to post 11 points.

Meanwhile, Long County came up short against Vidalia on Friday and fell 49-39. While losing is never fun, the Blue Tide can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 270th, while the Indians are ranked 121st).

Windsor Forest pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.0 points per game. As for Long County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Windsor Forest was able to grind out a solid victory over Long County when the teams last played back in February of 2019, winning 71-62. The rematch might be a little tougher for Windsor Forest since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
