Volleyball Recap: Crawford Extends Winning Streak to Two

Crawford won the last time they faced Hoover, and John Brown did his part to make sure it happened again. The Colts put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday thanks in part to Brown, who had 14 digs and one assist. He has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times he's played.

One reason for the win was Crawford's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-21, 25-18.

The win made it two in a row for Crawford and bumps their season record up to 16-5. As for Hoover, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Crawford is set to square off against their familiar foe Lincoln at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hoover will take on rival Point Loma at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
