Softball Recap: Miller Wins Going Away Against Indian Springs

Miller won the last time they faced Indian Springs and things went their way on Thursday too. The Rebels were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the COYOTES. Considering the Rebels have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

KATIE RAMIREZ was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, MIA TORRES was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. AMBER ALCANTAR was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4.

Miller hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Miller now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Indian Springs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's still a better percentage than their 2-10-1 record this season.

Miller will have a chance to go back-to-back against Indian Springs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
