The Red Cloud Warriors waltzed into their contest on Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. They put the hurt on Franklin with a sharp 45-24 win. Red Cloud has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 21 points or more this season.
Red Cloud got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Avery Fangmeyer out in front who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Adelynn Minnick, who scored 14 points.
Despite the defeat, Franklin saw an underclassman step up: Olivia Haack scored six points along with three steals.
Red Cloud pushed their record up to 7-6 with that win, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24.33 points. As for Franklin, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Red Cloud will take on Sandy Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
