In what's become a running theme this season, the First Baptist Crusaders gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They claimed a resounding 82-41 victory over Cambridge Christian on the road. Winning may never get old, but First Baptist sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Levi Borner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. It was the first time this season that he posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Owen Nelson, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
First Baptist is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for Cambridge Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
First Baptist's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Hornets at 10:30 a.m. on February 3rd. Lake Region Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Cambridge Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
