The Central Christian Cougars pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cunningham. Central Christian has struggled against Cunningham recently, as their game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Cunningham to victory were Luke Albers and Will Wegerer. Albers dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds, while Wegerer almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. Wegerer has been hot recently, having posted 19 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Luke McGuire, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Central Christian's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Cunningham, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.
Central Christian and South Barber will face off on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. South Barber will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Central Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cunningham, they will head out on the road to challenge Skyline at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Cunningham focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
