It was a good run, but the Loudon Redskins unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 67-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sweetwater. Loudon was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Sweetwater apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Sweetwater got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chris Alford out in front who scored 25 points along with five rebounds. Alford is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Burgess, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Loudon's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Sweetwater, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Loudon will face off against Roane County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Roane County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,111 points over their last 15 contests. As for Sweetwater, they will head out on the road to face off against Meigs County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meigs County is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
