If the Sneads Pirates were riding high off their 50-29 takedown of the Wewahitchka Gators on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Sneads wound up with the same score they had in their last game (50-29), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They have struggled against Blountstown recently, as their match on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Blountstown found their leader in underclassman Cyianna Smith, who scored 26 points. The contest was Smith's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jill Davis, who scored nine points.
Sneads' loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Blountstown, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sneads and Bethlehem will face off at 4:00 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Blountstown will be home for the holidays to greet Altha at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Altha is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
