The Marcellus Mustangs put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Solvay 97-34 on the road. Marcellus' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Marcellus' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Will Kershaw led the charge by scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Burnett, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists.
Marcellus' win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Solvay, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Marcellus will head out on the road to face off against Cazenovia at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cazenovia and Marcellus are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. Solvay and McGraw will round out the year against one another at 1:00 p.m. on December 27th at.
